'I Am SOLO' Season 28: A Bold and Honest 'Divorced Singles Special'

The 28th season of 'I Am SOLO' kicked off with a daring and candid 'Divorced Singles Special,' promising a 'dopamine feast' for viewers.

On the episode aired on Wednesday, the SBS Plus and ENA reality dating show 'I Am SOLO' introduced the first meeting of the 28th batch of divorced singles at 'Solo Nara 28th Street,' captivating the audience with the bachelors' 'first impression choices.'

Among the participants, Ok-soon stood out with visuals reminiscent of a 'girl group center.' Born in 1991 and a graduate of Yonsei University's System Biology department, Ok-soon shared, "I married a high school friend but parted ways due to unfortunate circumstances. When meeting a new partner, my children are my top priority." Hyun-sook, a mother of three children aged 10, 7, and 5, stated, "I'm not here to find a father for my kids," adding, "I want to meet someone who can embrace my life."

Lastly, Jung-hee, who joined the 28th season after persistently knocking on the show's doors until the day before filming, introduced herself as a "dentist raising an 8-year-old daughter." She revealed, "I married the chief doctor of the same hospital after he confessed to me, but felt lonely due to his workaholic nature," expressing her desire to meet a man with high empathy and wit, like Defconn.

As all participants gathered, the bachelors' 'first impression choices' took place. In a bold format where bachelors placed a 'gold ring' on their 'one pick' bachelorette, Young-soo and Young-ho chose Jung-sook, while Young-sik became a 'robot' in front of Soon-ja. Young-chul serenaded Jung-hee with Jo Yong-pil's 'Bounce' before giving her a ring, and when Jung-hee asked, "Am I prettier than Ok-soon?" he promptly replied, "Of course," showcasing his affection for her.

Kwang-soo and Kyung-soo picked Ok-soon, while Sang-chul chose Hyun-sook. Meanwhile, Young-sook and Young-ja received no votes. As the 28th batch prepared to move to their accommodations, the production team surprised the bachelorettes by instructing them to ride with their 'number one bachelor' saved on their phones.
