Kwon Seung-woo Takes on New Role as Rookie Manager in 'My Youth'

On the 3rd, his agency, High Zium Studio, announced, "Kwon Seung-woo will appear as the rookie manager Choi Ki-bbeum in JTBC's new Friday series 'My Youth' (written by Park Si-hyun, directed by Lee Sang-yeob & Ko Hye-jin, provided by SLL, produced by High Zium Studio), which premieres on September 5th."
'My Youth' is a romantic drama that follows Sunwoo Hae (played by Song Joong-ki), who starts a normal life later than others, and Seong Jae-yeon (played by Chun Woo-hee), who unexpectedly disrupts the tranquility of his first love. The series promises to deliver warmth and excitement as it explores the journey of rediscovering forgotten pieces of oneself through a reunion with a first love that once brought dazzling brightness to a dark and shadowy place.
Kwon's character, Choi Ki-bbeum, is a bright and cheerful rookie manager, true to his name. Despite being highly educated with overseas studies, his true dream is to make 'household chores' his profession. Kwon Seung-woo is expected to bring his unique flexible acting skills and broad spectrum to the role as he navigates the unfamiliar environment and seeks his own path.
Currently, Kwon Seung-woo is appearing as lawyer Choi Hee-cheol at the law firm Yulim in JTBC's weekend drama 'Esquire: Lawyers Dreaming of Lawyers' (hereafter 'Esquire'). Unlike the sharp and somewhat annoying character he portrays in 'Esquire', he is anticipated to bring a completely different charm to 'My Youth', adding vitality to the series.
Kwon Seung-woo has built his filmography by portraying various characters in dramas such as 'Vincenzo', 'Yumi's Cells', 'Soundtrack #2', and 'Newtopia'.
JTBC's new Friday series 'My Youth' will premiere on the 5th at 8:50 PM and will air two consecutive episodes every Friday.
