Korean Broadcaster Seo Dong-joo Shares Love Story and Decision to Remarry

Korean broadcaster and MIT graduate lawyer Seo Dong-joo recently opened up about her love story with her husband, who is four years her junior, and the reasons behind her decision to remarry.

On the November 1st episode of SBS's variety show 'Same Bed, Different Dreams 2 - You Are My Destiny,' Seo Dong-joo appeared as a special MC.

Currently three months into her marriage, Seo introduced her husband as "Jang Sung-kyu's manager," but clarified, "He wasn't introduced by Jang Sung-kyu. We first met at a gathering of peers and stayed friends for a long time before our relationship developed as we started contacting each other more frequently."

She added, "My husband's appearance is my type. He's tall and handsome." Recalling a story about walking her dog at night, she said, "I used to walk my dog every night, and he would sometimes come by out of concern even before we started dating. I innocently asked him to 'help me sleep' because of my insomnia, but he misunderstood it as 'stay over.'"

When Kim Gura mentioned Seo's past divorce, she candidly responded, "I'm quite straightforward myself. I originally had no intention of remarrying, but watching Kim Gura changed my mind. I felt, 'I can live well too.'" She reiterated, "Seeing Kim Gura live well made me think it was possible." Kim Gura humorously replied, "I thought of remarrying after seeing Um Young-soo. He's our role model."
Seo also shared about her communication habits, saying, "Maybe it's an occupational hazard, but I tend to use words precisely. I've even opened a dictionary during conversations with my husband." However, she added, "I realized there's no point in arguing like in a courtroom, so I'm trying to stop, though I am right," she laughed.

Seo Dong-joo held her wedding in June. Her husband, a non-celebrity, is reportedly an executive at broadcaster Jang Sung-kyu's agency.
