Actress Im Yoon-ah is captivating audiences with her performance in 'The Tyrant's Chef.'

Im Yoon-ah stars in the tvN weekend drama 'The Tyrant's Chef' (directed by Jang Tae-yoo, written by fGRD, planned by Studio Dragon, produced by Film Grida and Jung Universe) as 'Yeon Ji-young,' a French chef who time-slips to the past and meets a tyrannical king with an extraordinary palate.

In episode 4, Yeon Ji-young, played by Im Yoon-ah, enters a cooking competition and, with a hint from Yoon Nae-gwan (played by Jung Kyu-soo), realizes that soybean paste holds special significance for Queen Dowager Inju (played by Seo Yi-sook). She boldly changes her menu during the competition, securing additional ingredients to recreate a refreshing broth that the Queen Dowager remembers, ultimately winning her favor.

Yeon Ji-young not only revives the taste but also wins the Queen Dowager's heart with sincere words, securing victory. She also persuades Lee Heon (played by Lee Chae-min) to spare the defeated chefs, restoring order in the royal kitchen, showcasing her remarkable influence.

Additionally, Yeon Ji-young prepares soybean paste pasta for Lee Heon, who suffers a seizure, showing their growing closeness. A late-night kiss between the two deepens their complex emotions, heightening anticipation for their future relationship.

Im Yoon-ah skillfully portrays subtle changes in expression and deftly handles cooking tools during the competition, blending humor and warmth into tense situations, enhancing the drama's appeal. Her nuanced portrayal of emotions with Lee Heon, capturing even the slightest tremor in her gaze, further cements her status as a romantic comedy queen, captivating viewers.

Meanwhile, episode 4 of 'The Tyrant's Chef' achieved a nationwide rating of 11.1%, 11.4% in the metropolitan area, and a peak of 13.6% (according to Nielsen Korea), marking its third consecutive record-breaking viewership and the highest-rated tvN drama of the year.
