Eun Ji-won Yet to Propose Ahead of October Remarriage

Eun Ji-won, born in 1978 and set to remarry a woman nine years his junior in October, revealed he has yet to propose, drawing attention.

On the September 30th episode of KBS 2TV's 'Men Who Do Housework Season 2' (hereafter 'Housework Men'), the story of Park Seo-jin's parents declaring separate rooms on their first day in a new house, their reconciliation, and a family outing to remember their son who passed away 21 years ago was featured. The episode recorded a nationwide viewership rating of 4.6% according to Nielsen Korea, with a peak rating of 6.2% during Park Seo-jin's karaoke performance of his mother's requested song 'Do Well While You Can'.

A video of Park Seo-jin was shown. Amidst the ongoing cold war between his parents following a fight, his father took Park Seo-jin and his sister Hyo-jung out to sea without their mother. As the fishing operation began, the father expressed satisfaction, saying, "It's nice working with the Park family," while Park Seo-jin impressed everyone with his seasoned skills. In contrast, Hyo-jung, on her first fishing trip, struggled with severe seasickness.

After the tough work, the three took a break to enjoy lunch. Despite her earlier seasickness, Hyo-jung displayed a hearty appetite, prompting Ji Sang-ryeol to comment, "Her exhaust pipe is different."

Hyo-jung admired her father, saying, "I was impressed by Dad today. It's amazing he's been fishing for 50 years. My brother has been doing it since he was young, and Mom is amazing too." Park Seo-jin responded nonchalantly, "You do what you have to when the time comes. People adapt to their circumstances."

The show also revealed Park Seo-jin's past, when he had to leave school to fish after his mother was diagnosed with cervical cancer. His mother was shown tearfully lamenting his sacrifice. Park Seo-jin shared, "It was my responsibility and something I had to do to survive." He added, "Comparing with others doesn't change reality," conveying a mature perspective that touched everyone.

Hyo-jung, encouraging her parents to reconcile, asked her father how he proposed. He admitted he never did. In the studio, Ji Sang-ryeol asked Eun Ji-won, who is set to remarry this year, if he had proposed yet. Eun Ji-won confessed he hadn't, prompting Baek Ji-young to express concern, "You only have two months left until you're officially family, yet you haven't proposed?" Ji Sang-ryeol humorously questioned, "Are you really getting married? Is it virtual?"

Returning home after fishing, the family found the house empty. As night fell and their mother remained unreachable, they grew worried. Meanwhile, their mother walked alone, feeling isolated after losing her own mother two years ago. She eventually found solace in a park filled with family memories.

Park Seo-jin's mother expressed her loneliness, saying, "My mother's house and my mother are gone." As she shared her feelings with her late mother in the park, Park Seo-jin, his father, and Hyo-jung arrived. The father, knowing where his wife would be, offered a playful apology, saying, "Let's just laugh it off." The family then visited a karaoke room together for the first time, regaining their smiles.

The father revealed that the mother's childhood dream was to be a singer. Park Seo-jin, learning this for the first time, was moved by how she gave up her dreams to raise her children. The family worked to lift her spirits, with Park Seo-jin promising, "You could even compete on 'National Singing Contest'. If you want, I'll help you release an album." The family concluded by singing 'A Sunny Day', reaffirming their strong bond.
