Song Joong-ki Reflects on Past Struggles and Brings Joy to Set with Sports Day
Actor Song Joong-ki recently opened up about his past emotional struggles.
On the YouTube channel 'Yoo Yeon-seok's Weekend Theater,' Song Joong-ki and Chun Woo-hee appeared in the episode titled 'Visit from Real Friends of Youth.'
During the episode, Song Joong-ki revealed that he organized a sports day for the cast and crew before starting a new project. While filming the new JTBC drama 'My Youth' with Chun Woo-hee, he shared, "Instead of a dinner party, we decided to have a sports day. We even hired a professional host, but I was anxious. I thought, 'Some people might not like this,' and felt the vibe of 'Are we really doing this?'"

Chun Woo-hee commented, "It was so happy and enjoyable. It felt like returning to childhood." Song Joong-ki expressed his satisfaction, saying, "Seeing a crew member, who I hadn't gotten close to, shout 'Come on, senior!' during a game made me realize everyone was having fun."
Chun Woo-hee also praised Song Joong-ki's demeanor on set, saying, "I'm grateful for his 'I'll take responsibility, just trust me!' attitude. It's not easy to do that when you're already busy with your own work."

Song Joong-ki humorously added, "I wanted it to end quickly so we could have a dinner party," but also confessed, "Not every set was happy. Remembering the tough times from certain projects is painful."
He continued, "I don't want to recall those negative energies. It's not about making everyone happy, but I wanted to create a joyful and enjoyable atmosphere on set."
