Tensions Rise as Chef YoonA Impresses Tyrant Lee Chae-min, Sparking Jealousy in Kang Han-na

During the third episode, YoonA's character, Yeon Ji-young, prepared a traditional French 'Haute Cuisine' dish for the tyrant Lee Heon, played by Lee Chae-min. Lee Heon warned Yeon Ji-young, "If you serve the same dish again, you will die, but if you present something new, you will live—provided it satisfies my taste."
Yeon Ji-young discovered venison in the royal kitchen and decided to create a venison steak using the deer Lee Heon had hunted. The result was a resounding success.

Meanwhile, Kang Mok-joo, played by Kang Han-na, felt intense jealousy as Lee Heon brought Yeon Ji-young into the palace, a first for any woman other than herself. She questioned Im Song-jae, played by Oh Eui-sik, about Yeon Ji-young's presence. Im Song-jae replied, "It was His Majesty's decision, and I am not privy to the details."
Later, Kang Mok-joo witnessed Lee Heon and Yeon Ji-young together and assumed that Yeon Ji-young had received the king's favor when she saw Lee Heon's loosened garment. In anger, she exclaimed, "How could His Majesty do this to me?"
