Kang Tae-hoon decides to step back after hearing Kang Mi-young's firm response.

In the 14th episode of JTBC's 'The Nice Guy' (directed by Song Hae-sung, Park Hong-soo/written by Kim Woon-kyung, Kim Hyo-seok) aired on the night of the 29th, Kang Tae-hoon (played by Park Hoon) learns about Kang Mi-young's (played by Lee Sung-kyung) true feelings.

During the episode, Kang Tae-hoon asks Kang Mi-young, "How is Park Seok-cheol (played by Lee Dong-wook)?" Kang Mi-young responds, "I just met with the detective." She adds, "He said he thinks he knows who ordered to do that to my brother," questioning, "Why go to such lengths?"

Kang Tae-hoon replies, "What are you talking about? I didn't stab Park Seok-cheol." He continues, "In fact, Park Seok-cheol tried to kill me. It's hard to believe, but that's the truth." However, Kang Mi-young looks at him with disbelief.

Kang Tae-hoon asks, "Why are you doing this? Can't you believe me?" He adds, "You might think Park Seok-cheol and I are different, but we're the same kind, and there's no difference. But now, it's too late to turn back." Kang Mi-young responds, "I won't stay still anymore. I'll protect my brother no matter what it takes."

Kang Tae-hoon says, "I wish Kang Mi-young wouldn't get involved." But Kang Mi-young insists, "That's for me to decide. I'm here to say it's over." Kang Tae-hoon warns, "Reality doesn't flow as you wish, Kang Mi-young. Even if the rain between those two is a pleasant spring rain, clothes still get wet."

Kang Mi-young declares, "He's someone I want to be with, even if I get wet in the rain. That's what my brother means to me." Kang Tae-hoon asks, "Do you like Park Seok-cheol? Or is it love, as Park Seok-cheol says?" Kang Mi-young confirms, and Kang Tae-hoon tells her, "Once you leave here, don't ever appear before me again."
