Time-Traveling Chef Lim Yoon-a Faces Challenges in 'The Tyrant's Chef'

tvN's weekend drama 'The Tyrant's Chef' (directed by Jang Tae-yoo, written by fGRD, planned by Studio Dragon, produced by Film Grid and Jung Universe) is drawing significant interest from its first week of airing, thanks to the delightful chemistry between time-traveling chef Yoon Ji-young (played by Lim Yoon-a) and King Lee Heon (played by Lee Chae-min). As Yoon Ji-young is escorted to the palace, her survival in the past becomes a focal point.
Yoon Ji-young's quest to return to the present is a key storyline. After winning a cooking competition, she boarded a flight back to Korea with a book called 'Mang Un Rok,' only to find herself transported to the past. She suspects that reading a passage from the book triggered her time travel.
However, due to King Lee Heon's whims, Yoon Ji-young loses her bag containing 'Mang Un Rok.' Now confined to the palace by the king's orders, her future looks uncertain. The mystery surrounding 'Mang Un Rok' and whether Yoon Ji-young can survive in the palace and return to her original time is intriguing.

Surprisingly, Lee Heon appreciates Yoon Ji-young's culinary skills, leading to her unexpected escort to the palace. Although he finds it a waste to kill her, he sees his deceased mother in her and finds solace in her words, sparking curiosity about his true intentions.
Lastly, the connection between Lee Heon's concubine Kang Mok-joo (played by Kang Han-na) and his uncle, Lord Je-san (played by Choi Gwi-hwa), is fueling speculation. Kang Mok-joo, favored by Lee Heon, has long-standing ties with Lord Je-san, who aligns with ministers opposing the king, casting doubt on their motives.
Kang Mok-joo acts as a hidden spy, reporting Lee Heon's every move to Lord Je-san, raising questions about their impact on the king and the psychological battles within the palace.
The presence of French chef Yoon Ji-young in the era of tyrant Lee Heon is stirring new dynamics within the palace. With the gates of the tyrant's hell open before her, anticipation builds on how Yoon Ji-young will navigate these challenges and what her relationship with Lee Heon will become.
Episode 3 of tvN's 'The Tyrant's Chef' airs on the 30th at 9:10 PM.
