In a recent episode of Channel A's 'Please Take Care of My Grades: Teachers 2,' a high school freshman shared the harrowing story of why they dropped out of middle school.

The episode, aired on the 17th, featured the first-ever high school student who passed the middle school equivalency exam. The student revealed, "I dropped out in the second year of middle school and later returned to high school." The student's mother, who appeared on the show, explained the circumstances surrounding the dropout.

Back in 2023, when the student was in the second year of middle school, they suffered from severe headaches and collapsed, leading to a diagnosis of a brain hemorrhage. Despite undergoing emergency surgery, the student was in a near-brain-dead state with a survival probability of less than 10%, forcing the parents to prepare for the worst.

The student's mother confessed to writing a daily journal by the hospital bed and praying fervently. The family even considered organ donation as they prepared for the end. Miraculously, the student regained consciousness and, after a challenging rehabilitation process, was able to walk again approximately two months after the incident, returning to their family.

Now back to being a regular student, the high schooler genuinely enjoys school life and has even received an 'Excellence in Academics' award. Inspired by their miraculous recovery, the student aspires to become a 'neurosurgeon.' Remarkably, after regaining the ability to move their arms, the student expressed a desire to solve math problems and continued studying math even while bedridden.

Through sheer determination, the student achieved top grades in math and science. Watching the student solve problems, instructor Jung Seung-jae praised, "You're really good at math," adding a heartwarming touch to the story.

Viewers of the show expressed their admiration, saying, "Such incredible determination," "Studying even in the hospital bed... amazing," and "I hope they continue to study well and stay healthy."
