K-Pop Star Jeong Dong-won Shares His Unique Take on Traditional Korean Cuisine

On his YouTube channel 'Jeong Dong-won JD1,' a video titled 'Is This the MZ Generation's Health Food?!' was uploaded.
In the video, Jeong Dong-won celebrates the Korean tradition of eating health-boosting foods during the hottest days of summer, known as 'Boknal.' While discussing the traditional dish Samgyetang, a chicken soup, he remarked, "Samgyetang is a health food for older generations," adding that the MZ Generation doesn't stick to just one type of health food.
The first dish he tried was Hitsumabushi, a Japanese-style eel rice bowl. Captivated by its appearance, Jeong began taking photos. The production team noted, "The MZ Generation takes aerial shots of their food," prompting Jeong to humorously attempt one himself.

Jeong also enjoyed Pyongyang-style cold noodles served in a paper cup and finished his meal with a sweet pudding dessert, fully embracing the Boknal tradition. In other news, Jeong recently purchased a luxury apartment in Mapo-gu, Seoul, valued at approximately 20 billion won, where fellow celebrities like singer Lim Young-woong and TV personalities Haha and Byul reside.
