Former S.E.S Member Shoo Opens Up About Past Controversies in Emotional Video

On the 8th, Shoo's personal channel 'Human That's Shoo' released a video titled "The Controversial Incident... I'm Telling Everything Today (First Reveal)."
In the video, Shoo expressed her cautious feelings, stating, "I never had the opportunity to speak, and I just avoided it all this time." She directly addressed several controversies, including her appearance on a BJ broadcast, gambling involvement, and a foreign exchange law violation in Macau.
Shoo explained, "I accepted the offer to appear on the BJ broadcast due to financial difficulties and made a hasty decision." She clarified that the cut-out style outfit she wore during her first broadcast, which was trendy at the time, was perceived as overly revealing.

Shoo appeared alongside her husband, Im Hyo-sung, who shared his perspective on the situation. Im Hyo-sung revealed, "For a while, I was living separately with our children, and one day I received a call about a 250 million won debt." He continued, "I sent 280 million won the next day using our savings and borrowed money from friends."
Im Hyo-sung also shared, "When my wife attempted an extreme choice, I carried her to the hospital after she collapsed from taking pills. We were using separate rooms at the time, and I spent nights worrying outside her door."

Meanwhile, Shoo was sentenced in February 2019 to six months in prison, suspended for two years, along with 80 hours of community service for habitual gambling involving billions of won in Macau and other overseas locations from August 2016 to May 2018.
