Renowned analytical chemist, Professor Lee Gye-ho, shared the poignant story of his late daughter on the recent episode of tvN's 'You Quiz on the Block' ('You Quiz') aired on the 6th.

During the broadcast, Professor Lee opened up about the trials he faced while supporting his daughter through her cancer battle. He revealed, "My daughter was diagnosed with breast cancer at 22 and passed away at 25," evoking deep sympathy from viewers.

Professor Lee further explained, "It was a very mild early-stage breast cancer for a 22-year-old. We tried everything, but it didn't work." He also shared the unfortunate experiences of encountering fraudsters while seeking alternative treatments, saying, "There are many who exploit such situations, and we fell victim to scams multiple times."

In his lectures to cancer patients, Professor Lee emphasizes, "The first thing I tell them is that there are no secret formulas or miracle cures in this world." Sixteen years after his daughter's passing, he continues to focus on researching healthy diets.
