Kim Young-kwang Embarks on a Double Life in New KBS Drama 'Walking On Thin Ice'

Actor Kim Young-kwang is set to lead a double life in the upcoming KBS 2TV weekend mini-series 'Walking On Thin Ice'.

Directed by Song Hyun-wook and written by Jeon Young-shin, 'Walking On Thin Ice' is produced by Baram Pictures and Slingshot Studio. The series follows Kang Eunsoo, a parent determined to protect her family, and Lee Kyung, a teacher with a dual identity, as they become entangled in a dangerous partnership after stumbling upon a bag of drugs.

In the drama, Kim Young-kwang portrays Lee Kyung, a character with two faces. By day, he is a popular art instructor at a prestigious school, adored by students, including Eunsoo's daughter, Soo-ah. By night, he transforms into a mysterious club MD with a hidden past, shrouded in secrecy.

Lee Kyung receives a business proposal from Eunsoo, leading to a secretive and risky partnership that blurs the lines between parent and teacher. Kim Young-kwang's intense chemistry with co-star Lee Young-ae promises to captivate viewers with their thrilling performances.

The first stills released showcase Kim Young-kwang's dual roles. As the warm art instructor, he exudes charm with his gentle smile and pure gaze. In contrast, his transformation into a club MD is marked by a sleek black leather jacket, horn-rimmed glasses, and a slicked-back hairstyle, adding a mysterious allure to his character.

The production team praised Kim Young-kwang's ability to portray the sharpness hidden behind his bright smile and the cold tension when faced with danger. They promised that Lee Kyung's story, oscillating between day and night, light and shadow, will deliver thrilling suspense and keep viewers glued to their screens.

'Walking On Thin Ice' is a well-crafted drama, combining the expertise of director Song Hyun-wook, known for his mastery of various genres, and writer Jeon Young-shin, celebrated for her detailed and realistic storytelling.
