Kang Min-kyung Celebrates Her 35th Birthday with a Solo Trip to Jeju Island

Kang Min-kyung, a member of the popular South Korean duo Davichi, celebrated her 35th birthday by enjoying a solo trip.

On her YouTube channel 'Kyang Ming,' Kang shared a video titled 'P.S: Not Lonely,' where she documented her birthday adventure. She explained, "I wanted to spend at least one day truly enjoying myself alone, so I decided to go to Jeju Island. I searched for flights, rental cars, and accommodations." She added, "Some might criticize this spontaneity, but for us P-type personalities, there's a certain romance in the unplanned moments of life."

Kang Min-kyung continued, "I'm not sure if it's fortunate or not, but all the daytime flights were sold out, so I had to pack my bags now." After some challenges, she managed to pack and arrived in Jeju, where she started filming from her rental car.

She mentioned, "The only accommodation available was in Jocheon. It's not bustling with restaurants or nightlife, but it's so quiet you can hear the clouds passing by at night." Kang began her Jeju adventure by visiting a café to try Jeju matcha.

Impressed by the matcha latte, she drove to enjoy her first meal of the trip, a spicy monkfish stew. Kang continued her culinary journey with local delicacies like raw cuttlefish and sea urchin, and even ordered dessert to her accommodation, fully embracing her birthday celebration.

The next day, Kang enjoyed steamed buns and matcha before visiting a boutique for some shopping. She reflected, "I believe it's important to be thoroughly alone sometimes. I used my birthday as an excuse to enjoy solitude." She concluded by expressing gratitude, "In these hot, humid, and busy days, I'm truly thankful to everyone who wished me a happy birthday."
