K-Pop Star Chae Yeon Impresses with Her Appetite on 'Baekban Journey'

Chae Yeon, the K-pop star, surprised everyone with her impressive appetite on the recent episode of TV Chosun's 'Baekban Journey with Heo Young-man'.

On the episode aired on the 3rd, Chae Yeon joined comedian Yoon Taek to explore the culinary delights of Gangneung.

During the show, Chae Yeon humorously revealed her connection with Yoon Taek, saying, "He follows me around." Yoon Taek, looking flustered, responded, "My wife is watching," and explained that they often meet as event host and performer.

Chae Yeon shared, "Four years ago, I wanted to go camping and posted on social media about it. Yoon Taek commented, 'I'll show you,' and that's how we got in touch." Their shared interest in camping brought them closer.

Recently, Chae Yeon has been at the forefront of the Y2K trend. She explained, "My YouTube concept is living in 2025 as the successful Chae Yeon from 2005. With the retro trend, my past outfits match today's fashion, creating a fun confusion between past and present videos."

Yoon Taek, known for his role in 'I Am a Natural Person', shared, "People often ask if the food on the show is really good. Some naturalists claim certain things are food, but they don't seem like it."

He recalled, "There was a naturalist who added crickets and cockroaches to fried rice. I ate it, but it was tough because it didn't feel like food to me."

Chae Yeon, often referred to as the 'Military President' due to her popularity at military events, said, "With my sexy concept at debut, I visited many military bases. The reaction is different when a female singer performs. The cheers are unlike any other stage." Yoon Taek humorously mimicked the military cheers as Chae Yeon demonstrated her wave dance.

Meanwhile, Heo Young-man, observing Chae Yeon's hearty eating, asked, "Aren't you dieting these days?" Chae Yeon, who is listed as 162cm and 47kg, smiled sheepishly, while Yoon Taek joked, "She eats a lot and even packs food well," causing laughter.
