Yoon Kyun-sang Supports Ryu Hye-young Amid Parental Leave Struggles in 'Seocho-dong'

In the 9th episode of tvN's 'Seocho-dong' (directed by Park Seung-woo, written by Lee Seung-hyun), which aired on the night of the 2nd at 9:20 PM, Bae Moon-jung (played by Ryu Hye-young) confides in Kim Ji-seok (played by Yoon Kyun-sang) about her struggles with taking parental leave.
During the episode, Kim Ji-seok lovingly prepares breakfast for Bae Moon-jung upon learning of her pregnancy. Watching her eat heartily, he feels a sense of pride.
Kim Ji-seok presents baby items, mentioning, "The nurse gave these as gifts." When Bae Moon-jung asks if her belly will show soon, Kim Ji-seok responds that it varies for everyone. As he admires baby shoes, he remarks, "They say daughters resemble their fathers," sharing a joyful moment anticipating their child.

Kim Ji-seok questions, "Are there still companies that don't allow parental leave?" and asks if she simply accepted the situation. Bae Moon-jung, frustrated, retorts, "What was I supposed to say? Quit?"
Caught off guard, Kim Ji-seok reassures her, "I didn't mean that. Don't get upset; the baby can hear." Bae Moon-jung insists she wasn't angry, but admits feeling annoyed, eventually leaving the table mid-meal. Kim Ji-seok tries to console her, asking, "What about your meal?" Previously, Bae Moon-jung had attempted to discuss parental leave at her law firm but faced difficulties. She retreats to the bathroom, lost in thought, while Kim Ji-seok gathers her toothbrush and clothes to comfort her.
