Lee Bo-young Returns to MBC After 13 Years with 'Mary Kills People'

Lee Bo-young stars as veteran emergency medicine doctor 'Woo So-jung' in MBC's new Friday-Saturday drama 'Mary Kills People' (planned by Kwon Sung-chang, directed by Park Joon-woo, written by Lee Soo-ah), which premieres today (1st).
'Mary Kills People' is a suspense drama about a doctor who assists terminally ill patients with euthanasia and a detective who tracks them down.
In the drama, Lee Bo-young plays Woo So-jung, a veteran emergency medicine doctor who secretly assists certain patients with euthanasia, unable to ignore the pain of those suffering more than death. She leads a double life, providing secret euthanasia to selected patients to alleviate their suffering.

Lee Bo-young returns to MBC for the first time since 'Hooray for Love' in 2012. Given the long hiatus, she is reportedly deeply committed to the project and her character. The character of Woo So-jung, born from Lee Bo-young's extensive contemplation, is expected to deliver a powerful impact on viewers as she follows her beliefs amidst dilemmas.
Lee Bo-young has proven her limitless acting range in works like 'Hyde', 'Agency', 'Mine', 'Mother', and 'Whisper', earning her the title of 'Genre Queen'. With her exceptional acting skills elevating each project, anticipation is high for her latest transformation.
'Mary Kills People' premieres tonight (1st) at 10 PM.
