Former ballet dancer and now trot singer Jung Min-chan expressed his deep affection for his ailing mother.

On the October 30th episode of KBS 1TV's 'Morning Yard' segment 'Challenge! Dream Stage,' trot singer Jung Min-chan appeared to share his story.

During the broadcast, Jung Min-chan, who appeared on TV for the first time in two years, reminisced about his childhood during the IMF crisis when his family faced financial difficulties. He expressed gratitude to his parents for allowing him to attend an arts high school despite the tough circumstances.

Although he achieved his dream of joining the National Ballet Company, Jung Min-chan chose to pursue his passion for singing and acting, embarking on a new journey as a trot singer. He candidly shared the story of his transition to the trot stage.

In particular, the broadcast touched viewers' hearts as he spoke about his mother, who has been diagnosed with a level 3 visual impairment. Her vision is deteriorating, leading to frequent falls at home, and his father is taking care of her alone.

Jung Min-chan expressed his heartfelt feelings, saying, "I'm almost 40 years old, and I feel sorry for not being able to earn much money or visit often." He added, "I really want to show her that I get married."

Meanwhile, his new challenge of leaving the ballet company to pursue a career in trot music, along with his love for his family, has touched many hearts.
