SBS's Friday-Saturday drama 'Try: We Become Miracles' (hereafter 'Try') has made a strong start, with Yoon Kye-sang returning to viewers after a year, heating up summer nights. In the drama, he transforms into Joo Ga-ram, the eccentric coach of the perpetually last-place Hanyang High School rugby team, delivering a miraculous performance filled with humor and emotion.

At the 'Try' production presentation, director Jang Young-seok expressed his strong belief in Yoon Kye-sang, stating, "When I saw the script, I could easily think of him." This heightened curiosity about the character Joo Ga-ram played by Yoon.

The curiosity about Yoon's transformation turned into admiration in episodes 1 and 2 of 'Try'. He perfectly embodied the unpredictable character, akin to a rugby ball, and delivered an 'MVP-level' performance that captivated the screen.

Joo Ga-ram's struggles at Hanyang High School oscillated between humor and poignancy, capturing viewers' attention. As the new coach of the rugby team facing closure, he encountered a thorny path. Once a star player in South Korea's rugby scene, he had fallen from grace due to doping issues, and no one welcomed his appointment.

Despite the ongoing hostility from the rugby team members and a proposal for his dismissal, Joo Ga-ram remained undeterred. Instead, he tackled the situation with his unique, spirited approach, adding momentum to the intriguing storyline.

Particularly, Joo Ga-ram's refreshing actions provided a satisfying relief. The rugby team members, banned from training, had to prepare a school victory ceremony themselves and even faced the humiliation of not being able to place a rugby ball on the ceremonial table. In response, he boldly placed a rugby ball into a cake on the table, delivering a dopamine-inducing counterattack.

Moreover, Joo Ga-ram's genuine care for his students added a touching layer of emotion. He sought out Yoon Sung-joon (played by Kim Yo-han), who had rebelled and left the training ground, and conveyed a heartfelt promise. He also allowed the players to experience the true thrill of challenge and the exhilarating joy that follows. This transformation into a 'one team' left many viewers with a poignant feeling and heightened anticipation for the unfolding story.

Yoon Kye-sang's deep and versatile acting prowess showcased its formidable strength in 'Try'. His natural comedic performance, which maximized his humor, had a decisive impact on the show's cheerful atmosphere and vividly portrayed the character's traits.

SBS's 'Try' airs every Friday and Saturday at 9:50 PM.
