Dr. Oh Eun-young Addresses Self-Destructive Behavior in 'My Golden Kids'

On the October 25th episode of Channel A's 'My Golden Kids', the story of a daughter who punishes herself and speaks in puzzling ways was revealed.
In the studio, a mother raising her daughter alone appeared. The mother of a third-grade daughter expressed her concerns, saying, "I'm proud of my daughter who does everything well on her own, but she blames herself for small mistakes and sometimes even resorts to self-harm."
In the following observation video, the daughter took a test at a math academy. Despite confidently finishing the test with 30 minutes to spare, she made aggressive comments like, "Will you hit me if I get it wrong?" when the teacher began grading.
Contrary to her confident problem-solving speed, she only answered 8 out of 25 questions correctly. Upset, she began hitting her head and blaming herself, saying, "I should have solved the problems perfectly and quickly," and expressed her frustration by banging on the desk.
Dr. Oh Eun-young noted, "The child is sensitive to the word 'rejection'. If someone disagrees with her, she perceives it as rejection and struggles with the pain of it."
Additionally, the child excessively apologized to the teacher by kneeling and made extreme remarks and actions. Dr. Oh observed, "It seems more like a possibility of borderline personality disorder rather than ADHD."
