K-Pop Star Kim Jaejoong Opens Up About Love and Marriage on 'New Release, Pyeonstorang'
K-Pop star Kim Jaejoong shared his thoughts on love and marriage on the latest episode of KBS 2TV's 'New Release, Pyeonstorang'.

On the episode aired on the 25th, viewers got a glimpse into Kim Jaejoong's life filled with filial devotion as he prepared a set of four side dishes to fill his mother's empty refrigerator, as she was unable to do so due to leg pain.

While preparing to make Hongcho Nabak Kimchi, Kim Jaejoong jokingly complained, prompting his mother to humorously warn, "What if you lose your strength before getting married?"

Having become the first 'grandfather' among idols due to his niece's childbirth, Kim Jaejoong expressed his concerns, saying, "What should I do?" His mother replied, "You should get married too," adding that even his young nephew commented, "I should start finding a girlfriend now; it seems like uncle doesn't have one yet," causing a moment of embarrassment.

Feeling a bit flustered, Kim Jaejoong revealed, "It's not that I can't date. I do have a girlfriend." However, his mother teasingly asked, "Your fans?" and continued, "Or the girl you brought home?"

Kim Jaejoong confessed that he had even gone as far as having a formal meeting with a woman's family. His mother reminisced, "We were trying to get you married back then." It turns out that during his middle school years, Kim Jaejoong traveled from Gongju to Daegu to meet a girl he had been chatting with online.

The two enjoyed a date at an amusement park before parting ways, but the girl later visited Kim Jaejoong with her parents. His mother fondly recalled the 20-year-old connection, saying, "You can still reach out now," bringing laughter.

Meanwhile, Kim Jaejoong contacted his neighborhood friend, T-ara's Hyomin, to share that he made Nabak Kimchi, as he occasionally delivers homemade side dishes to her.

During their video call, his mother warmly asked, "Are you close with my son?" to which a flustered Kim Jaejoong quickly clarified, "She got married recently." Hyomin apologized, saying, "Oh, I'm sorry."

His mother requested Hyomin to set him up on a blind date, to which Hyomin replied, "He's popular, so I'm sure he'll manage, but I'll keep it in mind."

Chef Lee Yeon-bok jokingly asked if Kim Jaejoong would suddenly announce a marriage like singer Lee Sang-min. Kim Jaejoong responded, "I'm at an age where it wouldn't be strange if a dating rumor surfaced," and promised, "I'll reveal the truth on 'Pyeonstorang' before getting married."
