Sung Han-bin Shines as New MC in 'Street Woman Fighter 3' Amid Controversies

The season wrapped up with a live broadcast on the 22nd, lasting about three hours. With Kang Daniel stepping down after four years as the MC of the 'Street Fighter' series, attention was drawn to Sung Han-bin, a former 'Boys Planet' contestant and leader of ZEROBASEONE, as he took on the main MC role for the first time.

Director Choi Jung-nam, who led the production, previously expressed surprise at Sung Han-bin's preparation during the 'Street Woman Fighter 3' press conference in May. He noted that Sung memorized the complex foreign team names and delivered his lines naturally, leaving a strong impression.

Additionally, the 'JYP Mission' during the final stage drew criticism. Crews Motive, Age Squad, and Osaka Ojo Gang performed to JYP's new song 'Gatsby.' The winning team, Age Squad, performed with JYP, leading to discomfort among viewers who questioned the male-centric planning on a women's stage.
Despite the controversies, Sung Han-bin showcased his exceptional skills, avoiding the disputes. While he has previously hosted shows like 'M Countdown' and 'I-Land 2: N/α,' this was his first time leading a long live broadcast solo. His stable hosting and ability to connect with the crews, drawing from his dancer background, were commendable.

Sung Han-bin first appeared before the public in 2023 through 'Boys Planet,' gaining attention as an 'All-Star' trainee with looks, talent, and dedication. Since debuting as a member of ZEROBASEONE, he has expanded his activities to include music shows, variety shows, and event hosting.
'Street Woman Fighter 3' marks a significant turning point in Sung Han-bin's career. Unlike his previous music-focused stages, his hosting of the intense competition among global female dancers demonstrates his growth beyond an idol to an all-around artist.
