Jang Dong-gun Makes Surprise Voice Appearance on Wife Ko So-young's Show

Actor Jang Dong-gun made a surprise voice appearance on the show 'Oh Eun-young Stay,' where his wife, Ko So-young, is a participant. This marks the first time the couple has appeared together on a variety show since their marriage.

On the episode aired on the 21st, MBN's 'Oh Eun-young Stay' featured the final stories of the second season participants and introduced the third season participants.

During the show, Ko So-young shared homemade sandwiches with the third season participants, saying, "I made these at home." A video of her preparing the sandwiches was also shown. In the video, Ko So-young, filming herself at home, said, "Before heading to the set, I'm preparing egg and tomato sandwiches as a simple lunch box," and began making the sandwiches.

While making the sandwiches, the sound of a dog barking and a man's voice could be heard from outside the kitchen. It was her husband, Jang Dong-gun. Ko So-young humorously called out, "Daddy, daddy," and said, "Everyone can hear your voice," bringing laughter. She then continued cooking, saying, "I made plenty so our family can eat together," as she prepared the sandwiches generously.

The episode also featured a heartfelt confession from Dr. Oh Eun-young, a psychiatrist. When a participant mentioned societal prejudices against the profession of a funeral director, Dr. Oh shared her experience of losing her father last year. She said, "My father passed away last year at the age of 94. People said it was a good death, but for a child, there's no such thing. I cried so much, and even now, thinking about it brings tears to my eyes."

Dr. Oh added, "I still keep in touch with the funeral director who helped us because my father was a national merit holder. He was a Korean War veteran, and we initially laid him to rest in the Forest of Peace, but now he needs to be moved to the National Cemetery, and the director is still assisting us with that." She offered comfort to the participant, saying, "Not only that, but the funeral director cleaned and groomed my father, dressed him in a beautiful shroud, and I was so grateful. I think it's time to move beyond the prejudices against this profession."

Ko So-young married Jang Dong-gun in 2010, and they have a son and a daughter. The couple is known to reside in 'The Penthouse' in Cheongdam-dong, Seoul. According to multiple media reports, their residence spans 407.71 square meters and is valued at 16.4 billion won, making it the most expensive condominium in the country for four consecutive years.
