Super Junior's Heechul and Jaejoong Reunite to Reminisce About Their 20-Year Friendship

Super Junior's Heechul and Jaejoong recently reunited to reminisce about their long-standing friendship.

On Jaejoong's YouTube channel, 'JaeChin,' a video titled '20-Year Friendship Talk with Heechul' was uploaded.

In the video, Heechul, celebrating Super Junior's 20th anniversary, greeted Jaejoong warmly. Heechul expressed his desire to try a hamburger made by Jaejoong, who then prepared the burger from scratch, including the patty.

Heechul humorously remarked, "Is Jaejoong really making this? I thought the production team would step in after the cut," which brought laughter. As he enjoyed the burger, Heechul began to recall their trainee days from 25 years ago.

Jaejoong mentioned, "People are really curious about the hamburger story." Heechul responded, "Yeah, the younger generation might not know." He recalled, "We were really broke back then. We saved up to buy a hamburger, planning to eat it later, but when we returned, there was just a note saying, 'I ate it.'"

Heechul continued, "I was 21 then, and I felt so immature. I asked why he ate it when I had bought it with my hard-earned money. Jaejoong offered to pay me back, pulling out some bills from his pocket."

Jaejoong explained, "It was meant to compensate," while Heechul acknowledged, "It was a situation ripe for misunderstanding." The two have maintained their friendship since 2002, which surprised many. Jaejoong added, "We still look young for idols, but next to today's idols, we seem older." Heechul humorously noted, "My cat was born in 2006, and there are idols born in 2009. They're younger than my cat."
