Actress Ji Hye-won Reflects on Her Role as 'Do Hwa-seon' in 'I Took the Male Lead's First Night'

Actress Ji Hye-won shares her thoughts as the KBS 2TV drama 'I Took the Male Lead's First Night' approaches its finale.

Ji Hye-won portrayed the character Do Hwa-seon, a villain who persistently torments the protagonists in the drama 'I Took the Male Lead's First Night' (written by Jeon Sun-young, directed by Lee Woong-hee, produced by Studio N and Monster Union, based on the Naver Series web novel by Hwang Do-tol).

From her first appearance, Do Hwa-seon opened the story with a series of villainous acts, displaying a fierce expression and jealous gaze towards Jo Eun-ae (played by Kwon Han-sol) and Cha Seon-chek (played by Seo Hyun), engaging in a tense rivalry over Gyeongseong-gun Ibeon (played by Ok Taec-yeon). She added depth to her character by vividly expressing extreme emotions in her tangled relationships with all the characters in the drama.

Ahead of the final episode, Ji Hye-won reflected, "It's hard to believe that a year has passed since I joined 'I Took the Male Lead's First Night' until the final episode. It was a project that everyone worked hard on last winter, and I'm so grateful and happy to share this fun journey with the viewers in the summer when the trumpet creeper blooms."

She continued, "Hwa-seon, who was full of jealousy and love, hoped to be loved by the viewers during the broadcast, and I'm so happy to have received so much love.
