Yum Jung-ah Returns with Intense Roles in Upcoming Dramas 'Eye Shopping' and 'For First Love'

In May, it was announced that the hospital operated by Yum Jung-ah's husband in Hwaseong was upgraded to a general hospital. Meanwhile, Yum Jung-ah is set to make a strong comeback as an actress. She will showcase a powerful villain role in ENA's 'Eye Shopping' and portray the story of a single mom in her second act of life in tvN's 'For First Love', premiering on August 4.

The new ENA Monday-Tuesday drama 'Eye Shopping', premiering on the 21st at 10 PM, is an action thriller depicting the desperate survival and revenge of children abandoned by their adoptive parents and narrowly escaping death.

Based on a Kakao Webtoon that won the 'Best Creativity Award' at the SPP 2017 Webtoon Awards and recorded 51 million cumulative views, 'Eye Shopping' boasts a solid cast including Yum Jung-ah, Won Jin-ah, Choi Young-jun, and Kim Jin-young, drawing attention across generations.

'Eye Shopping' is set to deliver a fresh shock to the small screen with its bold premise of an illegal adoption cartel where abandoned children are bought and sold, and can be returned if not satisfactory. Even before its premiere, the drama has sparked intense reactions from prospective viewers, with comments like "The 'Eye' in the title is not 'eye' but 'child'?", "Darker than expected, hits the spot", "Feels more immersive as it could happen in reality", "Can't resist Yum Jung-ah as a villain", and "The concept is unique". Anticipation for the drama is steadily rising.

'Eye Shopping' daringly incorporates harsh realities that are hard to ignore within the framework of a genre piece, drawing viewers into a narrative that could very well be happening somewhere right now. Writer Ahn So-jung stated, "The thrilling revenge of abandoned children is central, and watching the downfall of evil parents will be a highlight." The casting lineup is also robust. Kim Se-hee (Yum Jung-ah), the architect of the 'perfect child', and Kim Ah-hyun (Won Jin-ah), a survivor who fights against the world after being returned, form the intense central conflict of 'Eye Shopping'. With Choi Young-jun (as Woo Tae-sik) and Kim Jin-young (as Jung Hyun) joining in, the drama promises intense psychological battles and thrilling action, heightening expectations.
