First Look: Lee Dong-wook, Oh Na-ra, Ryu Hye-young, and Chun Ho-jin in JTBC's 'The Good Man'

On the 8th, JTBC's 'The Good Man' (directed by Song Hae-sung and Park Hong-soo, written by Kim Woon-kyung and Kim Hyo-seok, provided by SLL, produced by Hive Media Corp and High Ground) unveiled stills of Park Seok-cheol (played by Lee Dong-wook) and his inseparable family members Park Seok-gyeong (Oh Na-ra), Park Seok-hee (Ryu Hye-young), and Park Sil-gon (Chun Ho-jin).
'The Good Man' is an emotional noir that follows Park Seok-cheol, the eldest grandson of a three-generation gangster family with a surprisingly tender heart, and his first love Kang Mi-young (played by Lee Sung-kyung), who dreams of becoming a singer. The series promises to deliver a heartfelt story of two people who risk everything for their loved ones, offering warm laughter and deep resonance as they pursue their dreams despite harsh realities.
Directed by Song Hae-sung, known for his delicate touch in films like 'Failan', 'Boomerang Family', and 'Maundy Thursday', and Park Hong-soo of the drama 'Lost', the series raises expectations. Writers Kim Woon-kyung, beloved for works like 'Yuna's Street', 'Seoul's Moon', and 'The Blue Bird', and Kim Hyo-seok of the film 'Opposition' join forces for this project.

The genuine family chemistry between Lee Dong-wook, Oh Na-ra, Ryu Hye-young, and Chun Ho-jin, from sibling dynamics to father-son regret narratives, is a key highlight. The newly released photos capture the unique personalities of the Park Seok-cheol family, drawing attention. Oh Na-ra plays the troublemaker 'Park Seok-gyeong', who returns home after failed marriages and business ventures, burdened with debt. Her portrayal of the endearing Park Seok-gyeong is eagerly awaited.

Chun Ho-jin plays 'Park Sil-gon', the pillar of the 'Park Seok-cheol family'. Dressed impeccably in a suit and fedora, Park Sil-gon has stepped back from the gangster world but retains his charisma. Once a renowned gangster nationwide, he now lives a quiet life tending to his garden, regretting his decision to push his son into the gangster world. Chun Ho-jin's portrayal of the weight and struggles of a family head is expected to be compelling.

Meanwhile, 'The Good Man' will premiere on JTBC on the 18th at 8:50 PM, kicking off the network's Friday series. It will air two consecutive episodes every Friday, marking the start of the weekend for viewers.
