Super Junior's Yesung Reveals Surprising Family Connection with Kim Jong-kook

Super Junior's Yesung and Kim Jong-kook have revealed an unexpected family connection, leaving fans astonished.

On Kim Jong-kook's YouTube channel, 'GYM JONG KOO,' a video titled 'Heechul... I'm coming for you soon... (Feat. Donghae, Yesung, World Star)' was uploaded.

In the video, Kim Jong-kook mentions Super Junior members Donghae and Yesung, and brings up Kim Heechul and Choi Siwon. Kim Jong-kook recalls, "I first saw Heechul and Siwon when they debuted on 'X-Man.' It was my 10th anniversary, and Heechul was the first idol I saw who could play around without getting into scandals."

Kim Jong-kook then asks the two, "Don't even the fans let Heechul be?" Yesung responds with a laugh, "I think they just let it be." Kim Jong-kook then prompts, "Now, let's hear about our connection." To this, Yesung surprises everyone by revealing, "Hyung and I are distant relatives."

Yesung explains that his real name is Kim Jong-woon, using the same 'Jong' character as Kim Jong-kook. Kim Jong-kook acknowledges, "Yeah, I think I've heard this somewhere before." Yesung adds, "So, we are distant relatives, and if you trace back, our family trees are connected."

Yesung continues, "We are distant relatives, and I once won on 'Immortal Songs' with one of your songs. This is the first time I'm sharing this, but when I went out to eat with my mom, I met you and greeted you." He adds, "After finishing our meal, I found out you had paid for it. I wanted to thank you, and I'm finally doing it now."
