Luxury Seafood Feast Created by Go Chang-seok and Chef Ahn Yoo-seong on 'If You Rest, It's a Relief'

On the July 7th episode of MBC's variety show 'If You Rest, It's a Relief' (directed by Kim Myung-jin, Shin Hyun-bin, Lee Joon-beom, Kim Ki-ho / writer Kwon Jung-hee), Go Chang-seok caught a premium red sea bream, and Chef Ahn Yoo-seong showcased his culinary skills by preparing a nine-variety sashimi platter.
During the episode, Ahn Jung-hwan opened his long-cherished treasure island for a fishing expedition. As soon as they entered the water, Go Chang-seok caught mussels, and Kim Nam-il harvested abalone, proving the richness of the golden fishing ground. Ahn Jung-hwan added to the atmosphere by offering freshly caught sea urchins as a snack. Inspired by this, Jang Hyuk also succeeded in collecting sea urchins.
However, Go Chang-seok faced criticism from Ahn Jung-hwan for not catching anything after the mussels. The once warm relationship between the two quickly cooled, creating tension among the workers. Determined to prove himself, Go Chang-seok eventually caught two large abalones, earning recognition as a key contributor.
Ahn Jung-hwan then led the team in catching the 'jewel of the sea,' the red sea bream. The captain explained, "A large one costs 400,000 to 500,000 won each, and the price doubles at restaurants." Jang Hyuk initially took the lead in pulling the net, catching flatfish and rockfish, but the small size of the red sea bream was disappointing.

Returning to the deserted island with the red sea bream, they were greeted by Chef Ahn Yoo-seong. Upon seeing the fish, Ahn exclaimed, "This size is rare even in restaurants. It would cost about 1.5 million won at a high-end sushi restaurant," expressing his excitement. He presented the first dish of the 'Master's Course,' a 'Red Sea Bream Nine-Variety Sashimi Platter,' utilizing everything from the lips to the bones of the fish. It was a lavish spread featuring lip meat, loin, cheek meat, gill meat, belly meat, fin meat, jaw meat, skin, and bone ssamjang.
Next, he prepared 'Seafood Assorted Lettuce Wraps,' frying abalone, conch, and mussels to be wrapped in lettuce. He also showcased his expertise by frying sea urchin. The final dish was 'Cuttlefish Bulgogi,' where cuttlefish was grilled on a skewer like bulgogi. Jang Hyuk handled the sauce, while Go Chang-seok demonstrated his 30-year grilling expertise.
After completing the Master's Course, the workers enjoyed a whole grilled red sea bream as a staff meal. Thanks to Go Chang-seok's fishing luck and Chef Ahn Yoo-seong's culinary skills, the deserted island restaurant was a perfect success.
Meanwhile, the preview at the end of the broadcast showed the original chefs of the deserted island restaurant gathering together. Chefs Lee Yeon-bok (Chinese cuisine), Jung Ho-young (Japanese cuisine), Raymond Kim (Western cuisine), along with assistant chefs Han Ji-hye, Yoo Hee-kwan, and Kang Jae-joon, appeared, raising expectations.
MBC's 'If You Rest, It's a Relief' airs every Monday at 9 PM.
