Park Bo-gum's Character Faces Extreme Peril in 'Good Boy' as Ratings Soar

In the 12th episode of JTBC's weekend drama 'Good Boy,' aired on the 6th, the special investigation team successfully uncovers an unprecedented amount of illegal funds, triggering the madness of Min Joo-young, played by Oh Jung-se. Min Joo-young, a former customs officer, is driven to madness upon discovering that a gold watch given to him by smuggler Oh Bong-chan (Song Young-chang) is fake. In a fit of rage, he kills Oh Bong-chan with a brick, and despite losing a massive cash container, he calls Yoon Dong-joo (Park Bo-gum) to taunt him, saying, "I feel like I'm back to the beginning. I underestimated you, and I'll push you further into a corner." His face is filled with the same manic joy he had when he killed Oh Bong-chan and fulfilled his desires.

This was all part of Min Joo-young's scheme to trap Yoon Dong-joo. Shin Jae-hong had left due to a text about a denied loan, orchestrated by Oh Jong-goo, who then assaulted the lone Yoon Dong-joo. Min Joo-young forcibly injects Yoon Dong-joo with a lethal dose of drugs, chillingly saying, "It's been fun. Die happily."
Despite reaching his limits due to drugs and beatings, Yoon Dong-joo manages to hold on, aided by an antidote secretly given to him by Ma-gwi (Lee Ho-jung), who resents Min Joo-young for breaking their agreement not to sell 'Candy' to women and children. With newfound strength, Yoon Dong-joo escapes from the container where he was held captive.

Yoon Dong-joo barely manages to hide in the parking lot of Kim Jong-hyun's (Lee Sang-yi) apartment. Kim Jong-hyun, having tracked Yoon's movements via CCTV, finds him just in time. Although Yoon's condition is worsening, going to a hospital is impossible with both Min Joo-young's gang and the police on his trail. Kim Jong-hyun strikes a deal with his brother, prosecutor Kim Seok-hyun (Kim Seo-kyung), surrendering family company shares and wealth in exchange for a temporary hideout and medical care. The special investigation team, upon seeing Yoon Dong-joo's battered state, is filled with both despair and anger.
