Lee Sang-min Supports Wife After IVF Setback on 'My Little Old Boy'

During the episode aired on the 6th, Lee Sang-min introduced his wife, who is 10 years younger than him, to the public for the first time. The couple visited the hospital together to check the results of their first IVF attempt.
Lee, who has always wanted children, expressed his gratitude, saying, "Thank you for suggesting we register our marriage and try for a baby first." His wife, determined to continue with IVF treatments, remarked, "As you get older, you can't do it even if you want to."

Lee reassured her, "At least our sperm and egg met and fertilized," and shared a light-hearted moment, mentioning, "Kim Ji-min, who is a year younger than you, has ovaries that are in their mid-20s, and Kim Jun-ho was thrilled about it."
Lee surprised his wife with flowers, apologizing, "I felt bad when you jokingly said, 'So we got married without a proposal.'" She playfully asked, "So when will you propose?"
Reflecting on his marriage, Lee said, "People's perception of me changed after marriage. I feel secure knowing I have an ally at home." However, he humorously shared his embarrassment when his wife refused a kiss, saying, "Tak Jae-hoon and Kim Jun-ho keep teasing me about getting married without kissing."

Lee also expressed regret, saying, "I couldn't be there when she had her eggs retrieved due to my schedule. I asked my mother-in-law to accompany her for sedation, but she went through the procedure without it, which I found out is very painful."
Unfortunately, the first IVF attempt was unsuccessful, with the results showing a score of 0.2, far below the required 50 for pregnancy. The doctor advised them to rest for a month before trying again. His wife expressed her disappointment, "I'm too old," to which Lee comforted her, "You don't look a day over your early 30s."
