Karina of the K-pop group aespa has directly addressed the political controversy that arose ahead of last month's presidential election.

On the 6th, Karina appeared on Jae-hyung Jung's personal channel 'Fairy Jae-hyung.'

In the released video, when Jae-hyung asked about her 'dream,' Karina responded, "To live without trouble," and added, "Recently, there was an issue involving me, and many people and fans were worried, so I wanted to say I'm sorry."

Previously, in May, Karina posted a casual photo taken in Japan on social media. The jumper she wore in the photo was red, with the number 2 prominently displayed on the chest. With the election just a week away, this post was interpreted by some as an indirect expression of support for a specific political party.

Regarding the red jumper, Karina explained, "I went out with staff overseas, and due to the chilly weather, I just bought an outer garment and posted it to communicate with fans, but I received a message and deleted it," adding, "I was very ignorant, and even if I'm abroad, it's something I should have known."

Karina further stated, "I thought I should study more in the future. It's something I have to handle, but it was really hard because the members were also affected."

When the political controversy erupted, Karina addressed it on a fan communication platform, saying, "I had no such intention, but the misunderstanding kept growing, and MYs (fan club name) were very worried, so I thought I should speak directly. From now on, I will pay more attention and act carefully. I'm sorry for causing concern again."
