The 712th episode of KBS2's 'Immortal Songs,' airing on October 28 at 6:05 PM, will feature the '2025 King of Kings' special.
In this special, Lee Seung-gi, participating in the King of Kings for the first time, expressed his aspirations. He stated, "I will show everything I can without regrets," while also emphasizing, "Regardless of the outcome, I want to enjoy the stage. Enjoying this performance is my goal."
Meanwhile, Lee Hong-gi returns to the King of Kings stage after 12 years. He expressed amazement at the extravagant and high-quality stage production, saying, "A lot of money was spent on the stage." Lee Seung-gi and Lee Hong-gi will perform 'Speeding Instinct' with a fiery rock spirit, igniting excitement among the audience and even in the waiting room.
The camaraderie between Lee Seung-gi and Lee Hong-gi promises laughter once again. Lee Seung-gi jokingly accuses Lee Hong-gi of pretending to be busy, calling him a "world star." MC Kim Jun-hyun adds humor by saying, "Today's schedule was meticulously planned around Lee Hong-gi's schedule."
This special event is the biggest of the first half of 2025 for 'Immortal Songs,' with only the strongest contenders who have won the trophy this year earning a ticket to participate. A total of 10 teams will compete fiercely for the title of 'King of Kings,' recognized as the best artist on 'Immortal Songs.'

The '2025 King of Kings' will determine the 'King of Kings' for the first half of the year, with the winner revealed over two weeks, starting with the first part on October 28 and concluding with the second part on July 5.
Previously, Lee Seung-gi married actress Lee Da-in, who is five years younger, in April 2023. Last month, Lee Seung-gi announced his decision to sever ties with his in-laws due to their involvement in stock manipulation allegations. He stated, "Despite a fine being imposed in the retrial for the ongoing illegal activities of my father-in-law, similar illegal acts have led to further prosecution. This incident has irreparably damaged the trust within our family, and after much consideration, my wife and I have decided to cut ties with her family."
'Immortal Songs' airs every Saturday at 6:05 PM on KBS 2TV.
