Yoon Yoo-sun Shines as a Supportive Mother in 'I Took the Male Lead's First Night'

Yoon Yoo-sun delivers a standout performance as a supportive ally to Seo-hyun in the KBS 2TV drama 'I Took the Male Lead's First Night'.

In the fifth episode, aired on the 25th, Yoon Deok-jung (played by Yoon Yoo-sun) stands by Cha Seon-cheok (played by Seo-hyun) as she decides to participate in the selection process for Ibeon (played by Ok Taec-yeon).

Deok-jung, who had been praying for Seon-cheok's recovery, scolds her husband Cha Ho-yeol (played by Seo Hyun-chul) and sons for doing nothing. Ho-yeol promises to grant any wish if Seon-cheok returns home. When Seon-cheok's health improves and she returns, Deok-jung welcomes her daughter with joy.

However, Seon-cheok's announcement to join the selection process surprises Ho-yeol. Deok-jung reminds him of his promise and supports Seon-cheok's decision. She praises Seon-cheok's courage, noting that it's the best choice she's seen her daughter make, as she bravely participates in the challenging selection process. Deok-jung's expression reveals her unwavering faith in her daughter as she urges Ho-yeol to trust Seon-cheok.

Last week's episode featured Yoon Yoo-sun's humorous take on superficial beauty standards, but in episode 5, she captivates viewers with her portrayal of Deok-jung's strong inner character beneath her gentle exterior.

Yoon Yoo-sun skillfully balances her performance, depicting a mother's earnest prayers for her sick daughter and her stern support for Seon-cheok's choices, enhancing the drama's immersion. Her elegant visuals, soft charisma, and natural humor add to the character's charm, raising anticipation for her future scenes.
