On the October 18th episode of tvN's 'You Quiz on the Block,' rehabilitation medicine specialist Professor Jung Se-hee made an appearance.

During the show, Professor Jung, who began running in 2003 and has completed over 30 full marathons in her 23-year running career, shared her journey. "I started running at 26, and now I'm 48," she said, captivating viewers with her youthful appearance.

Her personal best marathon time is 3 hours and 38 minutes. Explaining that humans are well-suited for long-distance running, Professor Jung stated, "The brain receives energy through blood supply. Aerobic exercise is essential for vascular health and helps in better elimination of waste from the brain."

She recommended engaging in moderate-intensity aerobic exercise for at least 2 hours and 30 minutes per week, or 30 minutes a day, five times a week.

Professor Jung also surprised the audience by sharing a study that found "lying in bed for three weeks can age you by 40 years, reducing cardiopulmonary function by 30%."

Additionally, she emphasized, "Running for just five minutes a day can cut mortality rates in half. It's always better than doing nothing," highlighting the critical importance of aerobic exercise.
