Actor Lee Byung-hun recently opened up about his 10-year-old son during an appearance on NBC's flagship talk show, 'The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,' ahead of the release of 'Squid Game' Season 3 on October 17th. Lee, who has been acting for over 30 years and has appeared in several Hollywood blockbusters, expressed his pride in 'Squid Game,' describing it as a Korean story made by a Korean director with Korean actors speaking Korean. He recalled being shocked and grateful for the fans' reactions when he first came to LA and New York to promote the show.
He also shared his initial impression of the project, stating, "When I first read the script, it was a very interesting story with a very unique structure, but at the same time, it was very experimental. I thought it would either be a huge success or a complete failure."

Lee, who left a strong impression as the mysterious 'Front Man' in the series, revealed that he kept his role a secret even from his family. He humorously shared that his mother was upset after watching the show because he hadn't told her about his character. He also recounted a charming story about his son, saying, "My 10-year-old son came home one day with a sad face after hearing about the Front Man from his school friends and asked, 'Why are you so bad, Dad? You killed a lot of people.'" This anecdote added a lighthearted moment to the studio atmosphere.
During the show, Fallon prepared 'O' and 'X' buttons for spoiler questions about Season 3, but Lee mostly pressed both buttons simultaneously, keeping his answers vague. However, when asked if there might be a spinoff featuring the Front Man as the main character, he pressed the 'O' button, saying, "I can't be sure, but it's possible. We never know what might happen in the future."
Meanwhile, 'Squid Game' Season 3 is set to premiere globally on Netflix on October 27th.
