Six years ago, Choo Young-woo made a brief appearance on 'You Quiz' as a student from the Korea National University of Arts. He shared that after his much-anticipated college admission, he pursued numerous auditions to kickstart his acting career. From 2021 to 2022, he auditioned for various projects including 'Under The Queen's Umbrella,' 'The Penthouse: War in life,' 'D.P.,' and 'Black Knight.'

Choo Young-woo stated, "I really went to a lot of auditions. When I checked my document app later, I found 200 to 300 scripts. That means I attended at least 100 auditions." However, he admitted that he was rejected from all of them, jokingly adding, "Even getting rejected that many times is a talent."

Hosts Yoo Jae-suk and Jo Se-ho expressed their curiosity, asking, "What happened?" Choo Young-woo explained, "I was so desperate that I was very nervous, and my acting skills were not as good as they are now."

He further shared, "At the audition venues, people often questioned if I was really from the Korea National University of Arts because my acting was so poor. I heard comments like, 'He needs to work harder,' 'He should practice his expressions more,' and 'He needs more confidence in his voice.' I remember all those comments vividly. Each one was crucial to me."

Choo Young-woo also recalled his father's words: "If you don't become an actor, our family isn't wealthy, so you'll need to work to make a living. Shouldn't you at least get a certification?" To which he passionately responded, "I will act until I die. I don't care if I don't make money." He expressed his unwavering dedication to acting, saying, "Once I started, there was no turning back."
