Comedian Lee Yong-sik Becomes a Grandfather as Daughter Welcomes Baby Girl
On the October 16th episode of TV Chosun's variety show 'Joseon's Love,' comedian Lee Yong-sik's daughter, Lee Soo-min, was shown giving birth.
Lee Soo-min and her husband, Won-hyuk, headed to the maternity clinic. Won-hyuk proudly stated, "I have obtained a certification as a postpartum caregiver for mothers and newborns. When I tried to register with the Ministry of Health and Welfare, they said, 'No man has ever been registered as a postpartum caregiver in Korea,'" highlighting his unique status.
In pain, Lee Soo-min tearfully said, "I can't do this again," to which Lee Yong-sik responded, "Any word related to 'two' is forbidden in our house."
When her water broke, Lee Soo-min called her father, crying, "It hurts so much. I'm so scared." Lee Yong-sik comforted her, saying, "You can do it," while feeling guilty for not being able to take her pain away.
After 10 hours of labor, a C-section was performed on the doctor's recommendation, and Lee Yong-sik's granddaughter, Won I-el, was born. He explained, "The name was chosen by a family vote, and it was my daughter's choice."
He added, "I will exercise more and stay healthy for you and I-el. I love you the most in this world," showcasing his unwavering affection as a doting father.
