Son Seok-gu Praises Kim Da-mi's Passionate Performance in 'Nine Puzzle'

Son Seok-gu has praised his co-star Kim Da-mi for her passionate approach to her role in the Disney+ series 'Nine Puzzle'.

Recently, Son Seok-gu sat down for an interview at a café in Sogyeok-dong, Seoul, to discuss his role in the series. 'Nine Puzzle' is a thrilling mystery drama that follows Yoon Ina, played by Kim Da-mi, the only witness to an unsolved case from 10 years ago and a current profiler. She is suspected by detective Kim Han-sam, played by Son Seok-gu, as they unravel the secrets behind a series of murders linked to mysterious puzzle pieces. Son Seok-gu takes on the role of Kim Han-sam, a detective in the violent crimes unit and an enthusiast of detective novels and films.

Kim Da-mi portrays a profiler who is undergoing psychological counseling due to trauma from a decade ago, amid rumors of being a 'cop who killed someone'. Son Seok-gu noted, "Both Da-mi and I dislike anything unnatural. We prefer things to be straightforward and genuine," highlighting their shared approach to acting.

He further complimented Kim Da-mi, saying, "Da-mi is passionate and full of ideas. From the start, she had a clear vision of the character she wanted to create." He added, "In contrast, I was unsure at first, wondering 'How should I approach this?' But Da-mi provided many detailed and subtle ideas, which helped me perform on 'auto-pilot' by episodes 9 to 11," expressing his gratitude.
