Upcoming Thriller 'Eye Shopping' Set to Premiere with Star-Studded Cast

The highly anticipated drama 'Eye Shopping' has confirmed its premiere on July 21st, Monday at 10 PM on ENA, featuring a stellar cast including Yum Jung-ah, Won Jin-ah, Choi Young-jun, and Kim Jin-young.

'Eye Shopping' is a new Monday-Tuesday drama on ENA, depicting the intense survival and revenge of children abandoned by their adoptive parents. Based on a Kakao Webtoon that won the 'Best Creativity Award' at the SPP 2017 Webtoon Awards and garnered over 51 million views, the series is already attracting attention from both fans of the original and drama enthusiasts.

The drama's impressive casting is a major draw. Led by Yum Jung-ah, Won Jin-ah, and Choi Young-jun, the addition of the versatile Kim Jin-young heightens expectations. The dynamic cast spanning generations is already creating buzz, promising a high-quality thriller set to captivate audiences in the summer of 2025.

Yum Jung-ah takes on the role of Kim Se-hee, a hospital director and charity foundation operator. Outwardly a respected celebrity doctor, she is secretly the head of an illegal adoption organization, driven by a twisted belief that only superior genes should survive. Yum Jung-ah is set to captivate viewers with a bold character unlike any she has portrayed before.

Won Jin-ah plays Kim Ah-hyun, a child who was returned after adoption but survived against the odds. As the leader and spiritual anchor of the surviving children, Ah-hyun engages in a desperate struggle for revenge and survival, confronting unexpected truths. Taking on her first action genre role, Won Jin-ah is expected to showcase a new, bold charm.

Choi Young-jun portrays Woo Tae-sik, a henchman of the illegal adoption organization who secretly rescues and protects the returned children. Feeling guilt over his role, he teaches the children how to survive. Known for his deep acting skills across various projects, Choi Young-jun is set to add depth to the drama with his commanding presence.

Rising star Kim Jin-young plays Jung Hyun, a human weapon raised by Kim Se-hee (played by Yum Jung-ah) and the de facto operator of the illegal adoption organization. Jung Hyun, who follows Se-hee's orders without question, is expected to drive the tension-filled narrative. The chemistry between newcomer Kim Jin-young and veteran Yum Jung-ah is a key point of interest.

Today (the 11th), the script reading session was revealed, offering a glimpse into the actors' chemistry. Yum Jung-ah, with her irreplaceable presence, infused even short lines with nuanced emotion, dominating the atmosphere. All the actors immersed themselves deeply into their roles, enhancing the drama's engagement.

Born in 1972, Yum Jung-ah commented, "Everyone has prepared a lot. I felt like I just needed to do well," adding, "It's a work that combines thrilling action and suspense, so please give it a lot of love and attention." Won Jin-ah expressed, "There will be much to ponder about the message in the work. Everyone is preparing diligently, so I hope you enjoy watching it."
