Kang Yoo-seok Takes on New Role in tvN's 'Seocho-dong' as Energetic Lawyer Jo Chang-won

The new weekend drama 'Seocho-dong' (written by Lee Seung-hyun, directed by Park Seung-woo, planned by CJ ENM Studios, produced by Chorokbaem Media) follows the lives and growth of five associate lawyers working in the bustling legal district of Seocho-dong.
In the drama, Jo Chang-won, played by Kang Yoo-seok, is known as the most extroverted and talkative person in the Hyungmin Building of Seocho-dong's legal town. With his wide network and friendly nature, he enjoys his work as if attending social gatherings, serving as the energizer of the 'Avengers Lawyers' group.
Despite his positive mindset, Jo Chang-won faces accumulating stress from his job. Not having become a lawyer for financial stability or justice, he finds himself questioning his career and purpose, leading to curiosity about his true feelings.
The released photos depict Jo Chang-won's hectic life in Seocho-dong's legal town. While he unwinds with lunch after court sessions, doubts about his career and suitability arise. Viewers are eager to see if Jo Chang-won can resolve his inner curiosity.
Kang Yoo-seok's transformation into Jo Chang-won is drawing attention. Having portrayed various characters, from an idol-turned-resident to a wandering youth, Kang is expected to resonate deeply with viewers by representing the struggles of professionals experiencing career fatigue.
Previously, Kang Yoo-seok appeared in Netflix's 'You Have Done Well' earlier this year.
tvN's 'Seocho-dong' is set to premiere on July 5th at 9:20 PM.
