Girls' Generation's Yoona Takes Legal Action Against Malicious Commenters

Girls' Generation member Yoona (Im Yoona) has initiated legal proceedings against individuals posting malicious comments.

SM Entertainment announced on the 10th, "We would like to update you on the legal actions being taken regarding the infringement of Yoona's rights." They continued, "We have filed complaints and requested investigations into false information, malicious slander, and defamation identified through fan reports and our own monitoring."

The agency further stated, "We consider malicious expressions using not only the artist's real name but also initials, nicknames, and other identifiers as illegal acts. We are taking all possible civil and criminal actions without leniency or settlement."

They also emphasized, "Creating unverified rumors or posting malicious content is a clear illegal act. We urge fans to actively report such incidents and assure you that we will continue to protect our artists' rights."

Yoona is currently filming as the lead in the new tvN drama 'Chef of the Tyrant.'
