Jung Il-woo shared his experience of being diagnosed with a brain aneurysm at the age of 27 and facing the fear of death. "I have been to Santiago three times. I was diagnosed with a brain aneurysm during my 20s when I was actively working. It felt like the world went dark. I thought, 'I don't know what will happen tomorrow, so let's just go once,'" he revealed as the reason for his pilgrimage.
While walking the pilgrimage route to Santiago, Jung realized the meaning of 'life's journey continues.' He said, "Every Sunday, there is a mass for pilgrims at the cathedral. After the pilgrimage, I cried my heart out during the mass. I didn't know why I was crying, but I wept uncontrollably. Foreign friends asked if I was okay. After crying, I felt calm and everything seemed to fall into place." He continued, "Santiago was the happiest time of my life. I went to empty myself but ended up filling up with so much. I was happy," adding, "I learned to enjoy life and be grateful for everything. My mindset has changed a lot."
