Yoo Jae-suk's Hilarious Honesty Shines in 'Hangout with Yoo' Fashion Sale Episode

Popular South Korean entertainer Yoo Jae-suk showcased his trademark honesty on the June 7 episode of MBC's 'Hangout with Yoo'. The episode, directed by Kim Jin-yong, Lee Joo-won, Ahn Ji-sun, Lee Do-eun, and Bang Sung-soo, with writer No Min-sun, featured Yoo Jae-suk, Haha, Joo Woo-jae, and Lee Yi-kyung selling fashion items from storage in the 'Hangout with Yoo Warehouse Clearance' segment. The show recorded a 3.7% nationwide viewership rating according to Nielsen Korea. Despite Yoo's candid remarks, the four members displayed great chemistry while working together.

The first customer was Kim Sook. Yoo Jae-suk teased Joo Woo-jae, who is known for being popular among older women, by warning Kim Sook, "Be careful of Woo-jae. He's got some flirting skills," and mentioned that Song Eun-yi recently sent Joo Woo-jae some meat. Kim Sook jokingly tried to set them up, saying, "Woo-jae, I'm sorry, but please take care of Eun-yi unnie," to which Yoo Jae-suk humorously responded, "No, Eun-yi is too good for him," protecting his friend.

The members then dressed Kim Sook in various outfits, showering her with compliments, saying she resembled 'Jo Jae-joo'. However, Yoo Jae-suk bluntly remarked, "Your neck looks short," dampening her enthusiasm for a knit purchase. Haha expressed frustration, "Who sells like this?" while Yoo Jae-suk continued, "Sook's neck is already short, but this makes it look even shorter," leaving Kim Sook confused and amused.

The next customer was Kim Seok-hoon. Lee Yi-kyung managed to irritate him even before the sale began. Kim Seok-hoon, who witnessed Lee Yi-kyung's infamous noodle-eating show, commented, "It's gross," while mimicking a stiff expression similar to Shim Eun-kyung's, causing laughter. After eating noodles, the members dressed Kim Seok-hoon, with Yoo Jae-suk commenting, "The collar is a bit tight," leading to another clash with Haha and Joo Woo-jae.

The final big spender was Ji Seok-jin. Following Yoo Jae-suk's advice, the members bombarded Ji Seok-jin with compliments using keywords like 'youthful', 'trendy', and 'MZ'. Despite Lee Yi-kyung's excessive praise, "I thought you were my younger brother," Ji Seok-jin asked, "Do I look hip?" and allowed the members to dress him. To stimulate his buying impulse, the members pretended to fight over purchasing clothes themselves, leading Ji Seok-jin to impulsively buy a vintage black jacket.

The members then focused on selling pants. When Ji Seok-jin looked for a place to change, the members created an impromptu 'fitting room', with Yoo Jae-suk even covering the CCTV. Caught up in the moment, Ji Seok-jin changed into the pants. Joo Woo-jae subtly coordinated the most expensive suede jacket for him, and the members once again showered him with praise. Ultimately, Ji Seok-jin made a generous purchase of 1 million won, justifying it by saying, "I've worked hard, haven't I?"

Among the remaining items was a 'denim set-up' that Haha had reserved. After trying it on, Haha asked if his legs looked short. Out of 26 staff members, 14 voted that they did. Feeling uneasy, Haha sought Yoo Jae-suk's honest opinion, who replied, "They don't look long." Lee Yi-kyung added, "You look like you're just standing," while Joo Woo-jae quipped, "You don't look like you're sitting," teasing Haha. The 'warehouse clearance' was a huge success, generating a total of 2,031,000 won in sales, which will be used for a good cause.
