Comedian Shim Hyun-seop Discusses Family Plans and Newlywed Life with Wife Jung Young-rim

Comedian Shim Hyun-seop recently shared insights into his newlywed life and future family plans with his wife, Jung Young-rim.

On the October 6th episode of TV Chosun's variety show 'Our Baby Has Arrived,' actor Jang Seo-hee and comedian Shim Hyun-seop appeared as guests.

During the emergency preview event, Shim Hyun-seop humorously recounted a conversation with the main writer, who jokingly questioned his presence, suggesting he should be at home enjoying his newlywed life. This unexpected comment prompted Jang Seo-hee to request an edit from the production team.

Shim Hyun-seop clarified, "I should be sharing love at home," adding that the main writer had remarked, "Why are you standing here?" This prompted Park Soo-hong to humorously respond, "Oh, that's harsh," while shaking his head.

Additionally, Park Soo-hong introduced Shim Hyun-seop as the 'King of Sperm,' mentioning that he had an impressive count of 98 million healthy sperm. Comedian Yang Se-hyung, who is unmarried, inquired if this was a high count, to which Shim Hyun-seop replied, "It's the count of a 19-year-old male." He further explained that after being dubbed the 'King of Sperm,' his wife felt pressured, noting that his sperm count was significantly above average.

Shim Hyun-seop expressed his desire for children, stating, "I love kids." He added, "Young-rim is 44 years old. I'm okay with it, but my wife is quite concerned." When asked about potential baby names, he humorously suggested, "I'll gather my passion and shout 'Bambaya.' The baby's nickname will be 'Simba' or 'Simbamba.'"

Shim Hyun-seop married Jung Young-rim, an English instructor 11 years his junior, on April 20th. The couple has been sharing their love story on TV Chosun's 'Joseon's Love Story' since July of last year.
