Park Bo-young's latest drama, 'Unknown Seoul,' has captured global attention, securing a spot in Netflix's Global Non-English Series Top 3. This success marks a significant turnaround for tvN, which previously struggled with low ratings for series like 'Ask the Stars,' 'Potato Research Institute,' and 'Divorce Insurance,' all of which hovered around 0-2% viewership.

'Unknown Seoul' is a romantic coming-of-age drama that follows twin sisters who swap lives in search of true love and self-discovery. The series is currently airing on tvN, TVING, and Netflix, reaching audiences both domestically and internationally.

According to Netflix's Global Top 10 Series (Non-English) rankings released on Wednesday, 'Unknown Seoul' ranked third globally for the week of May 26 to June 1. During this period, the series garnered 2.8 million views and accumulated 14.7 million viewing hours.

International media outlets have also taken notice of 'Unknown Seoul.' Variety praised Park Bo-young for her portrayal of the twin sisters, highlighting her ability to effectively embody four distinct personas. Forbes echoed this sentiment, noting Park's convincing performance as the twins, Mi-rae and Mi-ji, who swap roles and personalities.

The South China Morning Post commended Park for her nuanced depiction of the twins, capturing their vulnerabilities and strengths while adeptly handling the complex situations of role-swapping.

Global audiences are responding enthusiastically as well. On IMDb, 'Unknown Seoul' holds an impressive rating of 8.5, with the third episode receiving a high score of 9.7. All four episodes released so far have ratings above 9.0. In Japan, the series has achieved a 4.4 out of 5 rating on Filmarks, the country's largest content review site.
