Choi Soo-young and Gong Myung's Romance Unveiled in 'Please Take Care of the Gold'

Choi Soo-young and Gong Myung have officially become the village's couple.

In the 8th episode of tvN's Monday-Tuesday drama 'Please Take Care of the Gold' (written by Myung Soo-hyun, Jeon Ji-hyun / directed by Jang Yoo-jung, Jo Nam-hyung / planned by Studio Dragon / produced by How Pictures), which aired on Tuesday, the 3rd, the relationship between Han Geum-joo (played by Choi Soo-young) and Seo Eui-joon (played by Gong Myung) evolved from friends to lovers. Their deepening romantic feelings were highlighted, while personal incidents began to unfold, setting the stage for new storylines.

With Seo Eui-joon's confession, the couple's relationship blossomed with sweetness. Seo Eui-joon would rush over at Han Geum-joo's words of missing him, and Han Geum-joo's excitement at his arrival was evident as she rummaged through her wardrobe. These moments captured the fresh emotions of a newly in-love couple.

Their relationship became known to the village through an unexpected turn of events. Bong Sun-wook (played by Kang Hyung-seok) learned the reason for Han Geum-joo's broken engagement and showed genuine concern, which was misunderstood by his sister Bong Sun-hwa (played by Kim Bo-jung). Seeing Han Geum-joo also being friendly with Seo Eui-joon, Bong Sun-hwa erupted in anger. Han Geum-joo clarified, "I only like Seo Eui-joon," and this statement quickly spread throughout the village, naturally revealing their secret romance.

After their relationship was exposed, their romance grew even more affectionate. Seo Eui-joon continued to support Han Geum-joo's sobriety challenge, even reaching out to a senior in Seoul for alcohol dependency treatment. They built a warm romance, nurturing their feelings for each other in everyday life.

Meanwhile, unexpected events disrupted their daily lives. Han Geum-joo, who was on a smooth path with a potential promotion after returning to work, faced a hurdle with her boss, Kim Soo-seok. He raised an issue from a past company dinner, filing an assault report and proposing a drinking contest as a condition to withdraw it. Han Geum-joo endured the challenge, narrowly overcoming the crisis, but the fact that she drank again left a bitter aftertaste.

That night, Han Geum-joo had a strange dream where Seo Eui-joon expressed not wanting to lose her and then walked into the sea. She awoke startled, finding herself alone on the beach, realizing the impact of drinking after a long time.

On the other hand, Seo Eui-joon pursued clues about his missing father. He received a tip from a senior on a medical volunteer trip about a person resembling his father at a private nursing home. He immediately visited the facility, but was told that no such patient existed.

However, suspicious activities were observed inside the nursing home. Head nurse Baek Hye-mi (played by Bae Hae-sun), who had been particularly attentive to Seo Eui-joon, was seen heading to an underground area with the director. Inside a room behind a metal door was Seo Eui-joon's father. The head nurse left a chilling remark, "What a pity. I could have killed him right in front of you," leaving viewers shocked and intrigued.
