Lee Je-hoon Opens Up About His Struggles to Become an Actor

On the morning of the 3rd, Lee Je-hoon appeared on KBS1TV's 'Morning Yard - Tuesday Invitation' at 8:25 AM.
During the broadcast, Lee Je-hoon revealed, "I dreamed of becoming an actor since I was young." He continued, "When I was in my third year of high school, I thought about what I truly wanted to do and decided to pursue my dream of acting, which led me to consider majoring in theater and film."
However, Lee Je-hoon shared, "When I told my family about my aspirations, they discouraged me, saying, 'How can you become an actor? It's not something just anyone can do.' I found myself agreeing with them and ended up attending a different college."
Lee Je-hoon further explained, "I put my dream aside and attended an engineering college, but I felt unfulfilled and suffocated. Before joining the military, I decided to dedicate 1-2 years to pursuing what I truly wanted, which led me to a theater troupe in Daehak-ro."

He also shared, "I was given the opportunity to play the lead in a new creative play, which I was excited and proud about. However, I was informed that I would be dropped from the production before it went on stage."
Lee Je-hoon recalled, "The senior actors and director told me, 'You lack the identity and attitude of an actor, and you're not ready for this play.' I was shocked and speechless."
He continued, "After being informed of my removal from the lead role, they asked if I would like to try a small role as an 80-year-old man. I didn't hesitate and decided to give it my all, which is how I first stepped onto the stage."
