Yook Sungjae Reveals His 'Fishing Silver Spoon' Heritage on TV CHOSUN's 'Baekban Journey'

Yook Sungjae has confessed to being a 'fishing silver spoon'.

On the October 25th episode of TV CHOSUN's 'Baekban Journey with Heo Young-man', actor Yook Sungjae joined the host on a trip to Chuncheon.

Heo Young-man and Yook Sungjae arrived at a restaurant near Chuncheon Lake. Known in the entertainment industry as an avid angler, Yook shared, "I love fishing, especially freshwater fishing. I've heard there are a few good spots here."

Heo Young-man asked, "Since you do freshwater fishing, have you tried eating freshwater fish?" Yook replied, "No, I haven't. Aren't all freshwater fish a bit fishy? I haven't eaten them."

Heo Young-man then inquired, "With your group activities, you probably don't get to travel often, right?" Yook, a fishing enthusiast, responded, "Even so, I've had a group of friends from my idol days, like Boyfriend and Teen Top. We visit places with fishing spots. Even if my friends aren't that into fishing, I drag them along because I'm so passionate about it."

Yook Sungjae revealed, "My grandfather used to run a fishing site," confirming his 'fishing silver spoon' status. He continued, "He was the first to import and farm koi fish from Japan and donated them to the country. It started as a fish farm and grew into a fishing site."
